So, this morning I was on the #7, and some idiot decides to get on with an uncovered styrofoam cup of coffee. Yes, you read that right. I feared disaster as soon as I saw the thing. As if that wasn't a bad enough idea, he then proceeded to set it down on the platform thing (the one where people put their bags and stuff), unattended, WHILE the bus was moving, as he went to pay his fare and organize the rest of his stuff. I was in the first forward-facing seat, and he decided to sit right in front of me in the priority seating, so I kept quite nervously eyeing the steaming contents of the cup sloshing around precariously. You bet I moved to another seat as soon as one opened up. It had to have been some kind of miracle or something that the thing didn't spill. Oi. Why don't people stop to think once in awhile?
